Why I Love Local Businesses & Local Internet Marketing

Local Marketing Mastery was created to help Local Area Businesses prosper–for the owner, the employees, the customers and the community.  I am a believer in entrepreneurship.  Creating something powerful out of an idea is fulfilling, challenging, scary and exhilarating.  The unfortunate state of Internet marketing has left many local businesses without resources that can show the owners and managers how to take advantage of the Internet.

A bit about me, Tim Conley: I have had three local area businesses.  The first was a custom furniture and cabinetry business, the second was as a marketing consultant to technology companies and the third was a swimming pool service & repair business.  Since 1999, I have worked with over 200 businesses from really small handicraft businesses to 250 employee software companies.

My first foray into doing local Internet marketing was for a pizza place in Southern Illinois.  This was before the rise of Web 2.0 social media stuff.  The idea I had was to turn the restaurant into a community unto itself with surveys, forum to post so customers could communicate with the owner and each other.  The goal was to help slow the rising cost of advertising, but we got an unexpected benefit, too–greater customer loyalty.

Over the years, I have become friends with some of the top Internet marketers–people who make their living solely online.  And realized there must be a way to take the techniques they use to create $100,000 to $2,000,000 in 7 days to local businesses who have a greater ability to impact a community.

Face it, we–you and I, as entrepreneurs have the ability to create the lifestyle of our dreams and improve the communities in which we live.

My goal is to help thousands of local area businesses to profitably grow and to teach owners how to stop working too hard in their business and start working on it.  When you have more time to yourself and your family, you’ll find you can be a positive force for your community and your country.

Local Area Businesses are the backbone of any community and drivers of the economy.  I hope I can be a guide and a mentor to you so can live your passion and your dreams.
