Here a few resources to help you improve your local online marketing. I was going to say that a couple of them require you to put on your geek hat, but who am I kidding? All of them are a bit geeky, but geeks rule the business world now. So, break out your inner geek and put these marketing tools to work. Oh, and did I mention that I have a thing for Google? No, well you’ll find out below.

Google Local Business Center: this is the first thing any local business should do online before doing anything else. Seriously. Don’t even bother with that website facelift you’ve been thinking about until you get this done! Google Local Business Center On Google Maps: Do this next. Really.

Google Analytics released an expanded goals tool so you can determine if your website is achieving your desired outcomes.

Create Your Own Google Map. This is a great way to showcase customer testimonials. Hint: don’t link customer testimonials to their exact address, just put the push-pin near their home or office.
